The girl swept her right hand across her face. The flick of her hair was bothering her for some time, clinging towards her eyes.
She was standing outside the apartment building where the doctor had gone a while ago. This would be big break for me, she mused. Writing gossips about doctors having affair with patients or secretaries or nurses was now so out of class. Some would say it is so Mills & Boons and the more contemporary ones would ask you innocently; Does not everyone has an affair these days?
But the doctor in question was visiting the home of a very rich businessman. Their secret meetings perhaps had been happening over an year now. Or so did the telephone records indicated which had been arranged for the girl. At a price of course.
Presently, she climbed up the building in the backdrop of which she was standing. To he luck she found the terrace door open and securing a comfortable position, got her binoculars out.
She saw the two beautiful men kissing each other and for a moment a wave of guilt ran across through her body. She felt bad for intruding as she spotted their eyes, lit up in child like innocence. The spark of love that she saw, they seriously could not declare that love in public, her long standing experience in journalism, reminded her that.
She drew out a cigarette from her pocket, lit it up, exhaled deeply and as the smoke escpaped from her nostrils, she uttered
'Cowards'
