.How can anybody fragmented something which is already fragmented .
The seven Eastern queens (Tripura ,Assam,Nagaland ,Mizoram,Meghalaya ,Arunachal Pradesh,Manipur )want to get separated out from India . Andhra Pradesh is asking for a separate Telengana State , naxals control a significant amount of area in Chattisgarh and Orissa..Punjab has already shown its inclination towards Khalistan Region..If this isn’t enough we have segregated ourselves on the basis of cast, creed , religion ,sex and any other perceivable form of categorization Who in the world has the guts to break an already broken house .We are secular only till someone incites us. We are ready to burn up anything and anybody on the slightest of provocation. We lecture every one on the Constitution of India ,the values which it upholds ,but we take as much pride in breaking them. We want the world to change but don’t want to change ourselves. We want cleanliness all around but we will not prohibit ourselves from throwing in open or littering.
Despite all the negativities that we may possess we Indians are greatly bonded in times of adversity, We become united in times of an external aggression. But it always takes a third party to unite us Indians .During the Kargil war the whole of India stood united against the tyrant Pakistan. We become united when our former president is pestered with in an alien country .So now that the Chinese have infuriated us all lets get united and show these fools what really Indians are all about . Let us show these ruffians that there arm twisting strategies will not work against India and that we have the capability to retaliate if attacked .

A GIRL'S RANDOM THOUGHTS
Sitting on her bed, she kept on thinking...reflection...
She had dated nearly all kinds of guys. The ones wanting commitment, the ones abhorring them as a pest, the ones still thinking about it, and then finally the ones who have no time for it. She had travelled nearly all dimensions of love and relationships (at least that what she thought).but now...she was back to square one. What she wanted was still a mystery for her. On the career front, she was on the zenith of it, she earned real well. She had a family back at her home town. A real happy and complete family. She had equally good social life. But then, what was it that was still required? a perk at the work place? a better flat? a new wardrobe? a vacation perhaps?no.none of them. What she needed was time. For herself. Time to analyse what she actually wanted out of life now. After what all she ever wanted was achieved, she needed to set new goals and ambitions in life. To keep moving ahead. She didn’t need a relationship. She needed AIM. a new AIM.
Realizing this...she got up from her bed and sat at her table. she opened her diary...and wrote...THINGS TO DO TOMORROW.

‘Adieu’ you!
It’s all over the news and its flying! Open the papers and its there, switch on the tv and its there, read a blog and its there too! It is surely getting its fair share of attention but there is not much we have to fear- atleast not when we are at home. I think that’s the best place to be under these circumstances. And yes! I welcome the one week ban in schools and colleges.
People are wary of each other and everyone is suspicious. But who can blame them? The nature of this disease builds up the fear in people. A beeline for masks was seen at all chemists and selling them at double the market price was definitely not welcome. Spirit of Mumbai- I say! Taking advantage of people in times of need and desperation.
So many deaths were reported but only if the news reporters would have highlighted that the patients were victims of various diseases which is why they eventually succumbed to swine flu, not everyone would have lined up at the hospitals for a test. Hospitals- ironically the only place where the percentage of catching the virus is higher than any other area!
Only if our government could have taken enough measures for prevention and would have curbed the scares, we could have passes this phase just as easily as we did SARS. I bet nobody even remembers what SARS even stands for! Anyway, I am grateful that this hasn’t become a full fledged pandemic as WHO probably predicted. It was rated 6 on a scale of 1 to 6, meaning that this was probably the deadliest airborne virus WHO probably saw in its history.
This post wasn’t written with the intention to scare people further but with the intention to bid the virus, adieu, because lets face it- Mumbai doesn’t have time for anything to stop it, not even a virus that can kill almost all its inhabitants! |

Blog Orangy Special Article
In context to the article published in all leading newspapers today about a law which has been put in place allowing a Shia man in Afghanistan to deny food to his wife if she refuses to have sex with him(legalizing rape in marriage) is another act of folly committed by the puppet government of Hamid Karzai .
Some of other disturbing clauses are the guardianship of a child to his father and grandfather with women playing absolutely no role as if she is a surrogate mother.
Third Clause is that a women has to ask her husbands before she can work
The law seems to be deeply prejudiced against women and incurs a great amount of pain and suffering on women, wives in particular. Muslim women are already subjugated by men all through there life be it by a father, husband, father in law, or even her own son.
It seems that these people do not view women as human beings. They treat them with contempt, hated and this objectification of the opposite sex is really worth condemning.
These men or monsters what ever we may call them use ladies to satisfy there insatiable appetites for torture .They view her as a piece of flesh without life , soul ,emotion or desires .Women to these men are just a means to achieve an end .
Voluntary act of wearing a burqa is justified but compelling them into this is another harsh punishment levied on them .These outrageous laws seem to be enacted only to hurt women .They need to be rectified to suit the women.
In this age of equality where every girl as the same capabilities as boy these laws look outdated and present a very dismal picture of the state of affairs in Kabul.
21 century women should have equal standing with men but these primitive laws only cripple them
The Hamid Karzai government seems to have become a puppet at the hands of the Shia Clerics who also has a strong following .The enactment of this law is just a political move to retain the vote bank an with it the President‘s seat .The government of the day must understand that it is history which will analyze there work or follies and that they must do everything in there power to eliminate the problems and hardships of a common Afghani .The government should be busy in de talibanising Afghanistan and not make these goons look like progressive war lords

Branding & Marketing
Thanda matlab Coca Cola, a humorous advertisement with Amir Khan wooing customers with his desi style.
Have a crispy slogan and couple it up with a popular brand ambassador like a Shahrukh Khan or an Amir Khan and the product is most likely to sell. Welcome to the modern world of marketing.
Branding and Marketing has become such an integral part in the life cycle of a product that companies keep aside a major chunk of their resources for it. It is a preconceived notion these days that the shortcomings of the product can be covered up by embellish marketing
The brand actually is the trademark connected to the producer or the product. For example whenever you think of chocolates you think of Cadbury, whenever somebody
wants to make a style statement he buys a Mercedes Benz or an Audi .
A brand can be a name of the company or the product that it sells. In lay mans language the word brand means a trusted company which has made a mark , reputation of itself in the market .It is looked up for good quality and services . When that a company provides products and services the brand names get popular and vice versa too
Brands that have become popular cater to either of the 2 ways
- Companies which make their product very customer friendly by lowering the prices and keeping and giving the bare minimal feature like a Nokia or a Maruti who make profit by selling in bulk
- Companies which make products for only a few specific individuals, capable of paying exuberant amounts They provide world class facilities to its customers but they charge heavily for there services like a Ferrari or the Porche or an apple (machintosh)These companies make customized made goods and cater to a very narrow spectrum of people They make there profit from heavy pricing that they levy on there opulent customers
Companies which become successful, which have created a niche for themselves, tend to diversify to stay ahead in the businesses to expand and venture into new areas like the coca cola who first captured the soft drinks is now venturing into the water purification .
With a brand name comes an unprecedented mount of expectation and an assurance of best quality Brands must therefore adhere to the strictest of norms and provide the best quality to its customers
A product identity, or brand image are typically the attributes one associates with a brand, how the brand owner wants the consumer to perceive the brand - and by extension the branded company, organization, product or service. The brand owner will seek to bridge the gap between the brand image and the brand identity
There is no place for complacency in today’s world of cut throat competition. If you become negligent you are ousted from the game.

Blogger Interview - Nupur
1) 1) Blogging as a medium is often used for venting out ire, grudges, narration of love and heart breaks and sad romantic tales. comment.
I believe in the aphorism, “To each his own”. Every person has a different reason for writing as to what he/she is writing. So if someone wants to write about their personal lives… it’s their choice… and the readers’ to read or not.
2) How much time has it been for you in the blog world.
I began blogging in late March, 2008…. So it’s been more than a year that I've been a part of the blogosphere.
3) You are into active blogging today ad blogging is said to be a virtual version of a personal diary. Did you ever maintain a personal diary? Tell us something about it and differences between the two:
I never maintained a personal diary…. My life’s always been sort of an open book!! I think a blog ensures a little wider audience than a personal diary… I guess that would be the difference!
4) Your favorites :
Many!!
blog: Arshat’s TPI, Vinod’s Uncomfortably Numb and Abhinav’s My Dayz With Myself amongst the many I like!
blogging platform (blogger/wordpress/etc): Blogger….. because I use it and also because I haven’t tried Wordpress!
5) An ideal blog according to you would be?
According to me an ideal blog should be the one that is light, funny, witty…. In short one that entertains… where it’s ok to read without turning your grey cells on!
6) Every blogger has his/her story, what is yours?
Well, I started blogging because I talk A LOT and my friends were tired of listening to me, hence I choose this route! No, jokes apart, I began blogging just to know what this entire ‘blogging’ phenomenon was! And now, I’m dedicated to my blog, like it’s my own baby!
7) Have you ever thought of using your blogging skills, career wise?
Umm….I'm Writing a story…. A love story, hoping to publish it one day. I got the confidence of publishing my work only because of my blog!
8) Does the idea of making a book out of your blog appeals you?
The idea of making a book definitely appeals to me….. but not out of my blog!
9) Tell us, generally, what kind of role does aesthetics play in blogging. Does the presentation of a blog matter a lot?
Aesthetics plays a huge role in blogging. The look of a blog, the font style, color and size are the primary things that would have a reader want to read your blog or no. Even the language matters a lot. It’s ok to not use words like how PG Wodehouse does, but grammar is really important. I think incorrect grammar puts off readers…even the use of SMS lingo, for that matter! As they say, First impression is the last impression, so make sure your blog appeals to the readers!!
10) Some words for our blog buddies and visitors

Of blogs and websites and writers
Anyway, a friend of mind recently started a blog and chose this URL
http://the-silver-spirit.blogspot.com/
Go through it once and boost and encourage her up.
One thing, I observe in routine is the depth inside writing pieces are fading away and fading away fast. The quality of blogs which I used to read as an active blogger now I seldom see it. My own blogger friends who used to be, are now not too much into the writing scene.
A drastic change. For we people write blogs for ourselves and not for others alone and hence the depth I feel should always be there. Anyway soon Jagruti, shall have advertisements and blog orangy, where usually we had content for the members who work on Orangy but now we shall incorporate content meant for the outsiders as well.
Web Designing and Web Branding
There are millions of websites on the internet with each unique in its content, designs and appeal. Have you ever wondered who creates them or maintains them? Who designs the lovely website you visit each time? Who fills the content in it? I am sure many such questions are coming to your mind now. So, if you are new to this world of World Wide Web, then let me tell you that there are people like us who posses good skills and expertise, they use their talent to make your web page beautiful.
Surely, web designing is fun and exciting, but there are few important things to take care of when designing a web site. The most important thing to consider is the needs and expectations of a customer for your website. Once you know the requirements of your customer, you can proceed to decide the content for it. The content of your website depends on the user’s preferences. The web designer has to ensure that the web site does not take too much time to load, plus the navigation process must be fast. He has to create a fine balance between the graphics and the content of the web page so that it loads fast and is also rich in the content the user is looking for Using graphics may be a good way to attract the users but this slows down the loading speed, on the other hand a dull and drab content hardly attracts any user. More over, graphics occupy most space and hence the cost of hosting it on the web is high. He has to make sure that the website is compatible to most browsers. JavaScript, HTML, XML, etc are the few languages he has to learn for designing the web
Together with these languages, and his understanding of the users needs, coupled with a dash of creativity and talent a web designer has to make a design for the web site which can make it stand out in the crowd. Finally, the ever competitive market demands that he learns and adapts to the new technology.
Orangy Revamped
Our writing team is all down due to various many reasons and I hope the team would be up and running in full throttle very soon. In the mean time, now we have a technicall team, along with the creative team as well and these people will now handle the marketing of the websites. The Orangy Family seems to be expanding up fast.
Ranking of our websites is going down for the very first time since it's inception. Prime reason is because the website had been down for maintainance and other work. This has impacted the ranking and viewership of the sites a lot.
The Orangy Pen competition is up and running and for more details on the competition, you people can contact me any time. Basically, I have decided that Orangy Consultancies shall gift a book to anyone who writers a wonderful article/ blog for any of the Orangy websites. The Orangy Family should also participate in it I think.
In another news, careers.orangy.in has now been closed down. This is because, the sub - domain is now being merged into with the website of Orangy Consultancies.
The Old content of the Orangy website can be read at orangyin.blogspot.com and this shall soon be merged into blog Orangy for all of us to read here.
I also want to write down to you for help, as I am looking out for fresh/ unique and interesting ideas for any of the Orangy Websites. How can we make our sites different from the other exisiting ones. I am not in favor of blindly copying successfull formats of the western countries. I want something, very human, earthy, less of technical stuff and complexeties. Something which lightens up your day as well stimulates your mind actively.
Hence, I announce the new motto and slogan for the Orangy Consultancies.

The Blog Insomniac Observatory
The Blog Insomniac Observatory by Rakesh Sukumar who started his blogging on 19th December 2007 revolves more around some personal experiences which can be termed as Observation rather then mixing it with the word Insomniac. Though, the Blog name is very impressive. And can attract readers if used sensibly but somewhere it misses that grip of attention and lacks that touch of insomniac. The template of the Blog is as simple as it can be in Black color background and white and green color text. The blog is well maintained and holds every label clearly which makes easy for readers. The blog carry good quality of work considerably. Some are condensed written posts and some are detailed versions. Posts like Fact and Fiction grabbed my mind more. I found them very interesting. The blogger has a very subtle style of expression.
But there is a loophole which showcases the negative side of the blog too. There are only 36 posts till now, 33 posts in 2007, 2 Posts in 2008 and 1 post in 2009. This indicates the irregularity of the blogger giving a rough patch.
At the end I shall conclude by adding: This blog is reader friendly and can increase its readership just by being more regular with its updates and making changes like; new template, etc.. If I have to rate this blog I will rate 7/10. |
